The Chap – Lifestyle Feature

This project involved creating a series of custom illustrations for The Chap magazine to accompany a feature on how our downtime has evolved. Known for its witty and quintessentially British tone, the brief required a visual style that could bridge the gap between traditional gentlemanly hobbies and modern-day habits.

The illustrations adopted a stylized, retro-modern approach, blending classic line art with bold block colors. I was responsible for the full creative execution of the series, illustrating a range of activities including TV, Radio, Cinema, the Gym, Travel, and Computer Games. The goal was to create a cohesive set of images that felt both nostalgic and contemporary, perfectly aligned with the magazine’s unique aesthetic.
