Money Week – Political Power

his project involved creating a series of custom illustrations for a MoneyWeek feature exploring the changing dynamics and personalities in global politics. The brief called for a distinct, high-impact visual style that could capture the complexity of the world’s most influential leaders.

The illustrations used a sophisticated mixed-media approach, blending magazine photography and newspaper print with digital textures and hand-finished elements. This collage-style technique was designed to reflect the multi-layered nature of political narratives, creating portraits that felt both contemporary and editorial.

The series featured a global roster of leaders, including Xi Jinping, Rishi Sunak, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Vladimir Putin, Benjamin Netanyahu, and Emmanuel Macron. Each piece used the raw textures of financial journalism—newsprint and halftone patterns—to build out the stylized portraits, ensuring the artwork felt deeply connected to the publication’s core focus.
