U – TV Dinners for U

To mark the launch of U, UKTV’s new streaming service, London played host to the world’s first “TV Dinners for U” restaurant—a unique dining concept born from the discovery that Brits spend over four years of their lives glued to the screen. To satisfy the nation’s TV addiction, the pop-up offered a menu meticulously curated by food scientist Dr. Stuart Farrimond, designed to scientifically pair flavors with the genres available on the platform.

Whether diners were diving into high-stakes crime dramas or relaxing with comforting classics, the experience was designed as a total sensory escape. The event saw British TV icons Shaun Williamson and Katherine Ryan hosting guests as they explored themed menus paired with shows like Battle in the Box. By matching the culinary experience to the emotional beat of the content, the restaurant transformed a simple meal into an immersive journey through the UKTV library.

I was asked to create the mock-ups of the initial concepts for the restaurant’s visual identity, as well as designing the bespoke menus used throughout the event.
