PayPal – deckchair

As “b-commerce”—beachside shopping—continues to rise, PayPal has introduced a high-tech solution for seaside spenders. With research showing that 20% of beachgoers are now shopping from their phones or tablets while hitting the sand, the classic British deckchair was due for a digital-first upgrade.

Debuting on Brighton Beach, these limited-edition “Tech-Chairs” are designed to eliminate the common frustrations of outdoor browsing. Each chair is fully equipped with built-in Wi-Fi and wireless charging to keep devices powered, alongside a specialized glare-busting shade for screen visibility. To ensure the tech stays safe in the elements, the chairs are upholstered in a bespoke sand and sunscreen-resistant microfiber fabric, allowing leisure-shoppers to browse and buy in total comfort.

I designed the promotional brochures to support the event, ensuring that the complex tech features were explained through a clean, accessible layout that stayed true to the PayPal brand while capturing the vibrant energy of a summer launch.
