Domino’s – Chip for Dough

To celebrate the 153rd Open Championship at Royal Portrush, Domino’s decided to bring the fairway directly into the local branch. Embracing the tournament spirit, the store was transformed into a golf-themed experience under the headline “Drive for show. Chip and putt for dough,” offering fans a slice of the action alongside their pizza.

The centerpiece of the activation was a bespoke mini-golf course built right inside the Portrush shop. In a nod to local golfing legend Rory McIlroy, the course featured a “washing machine challenge”—a recreation of the famous 1999 TV moment where a nine-year-old Rory chipped golf balls into a laundry drum on the Gerry Kelly Show. This nostalgic challenge allowed visitors to test their own short game for a chance to win prizes, turning a standard pizza pickup into a viral-ready sporting event.

I designed a number of in-store assets for this campaign that brought the golf course theme to life within the store.
