The Sun – Hair Salon

To kick off the 2022 World Cup, The Sun launched a one-of-a-kind pop-up hair salon in London, offering fans the chance to sport the looks of their footballing heroes. Visitors could choose from a menu of “iconic” trims, ranging from the classic Beckham and the sharp Grealish to the more adventurous Ronaldo (complete with the infamous 2002 fringe).

We partnered with professional barbers to provide the cuts and colors, helping supporters get into the tournament spirit before the first whistle blew. The event was a hit for social content, with the transformations captured and shared across The Sun’s digital platforms, as well as being featured in a dedicated report in the newspaper itself.

I was responsible for the event management of the pop-up, as well as the graphic design work used to brand the shop both inside and out. This included everything from the external signage and window displays to the internal menu boards and styling station graphics.
